Business Development Manager

Who we are:

Mont58 is an award winning independent Coffee Roastery based in South-East London founded by Husband and wife team Shai and Maya Eilon. We are passionate about great coffee. We hand-roast high quality, Arabica beans from all over the world as well as our own unique blends and a growing selection of organic beans. We use only fair trade ethical beans, and recyclable to compostable packaging. 

We are advocates of the importance of a thriving local economy where both consumers and independent businesses flourish. 

The Role:

We are looking for a part time business development manager to be part of the next growth stage of our business. This person will support us in driving growth in our wholesale operations, which include supplying coffee to shops, cafes, restaurants and offices.


10 Hours per week


  • Planning, preparing and executing a comprehensive prospecting plan within the above sectors.
  • Contacting prospects by email and phone to introduce the brand and start a relationship that will lead to sales conversions
  • Using knowledge of our brand and values as well as knowledge of our product range when approaching prospects to deliver an engaging and authentic pitch.
  • Proactively building a rapport with potential customers
  • Sending samples to prospects and following up ongoing conversations and leads
  • Organising and supporting coffee tastings and roastery visits for potential clients if needed
  • Managing business development activities and the funnel of ongoing progress on leads on a cloud based platform (google sheets for example)

You’ll be perfect for the role if you are:

  • Passionate about coffee and aware of local food and drink scenes and trends
  • Excited and motivated by approaching prospects and by winning high quality customers that will help our business to grow.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, confident and energetic
  • Well organised, strategic and focused on winning new business
  • Likes working for a small independent brand


  • Previous experience in business development or sales
  • Competent in all Microsoft/google Office packages
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in using social media platforms, specifically instagram and understanding of how to use these as a tool for business development 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

The Role:

We are always looking for cyclists to join our team and deliver coffee to our local SE London customers. If you enjoy cycling and can manage 10-15 miles per shift then this is for you.


2-3 hour shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays afternoons

You will need:

Bike and panniers


We are a Living Wage employer. We pay the London Living Wage, which is £11.05 per hour
