Fairtrade coffee

Being environmentally conscious is an important part of our ethos. We try to do our best to reduce our environmental impact as much as we can and continuously working towards this goal.

Our coffee:

All our coffees are Fair-trade and some are also organic. We make sure that the coffee we buy can be traced back to the farmers and co-ops that grow it all over the world.

Our packaging:

Our small coffee bags are compostable, and our larger bags and boxes are made using paper from sustainable forests. They are recyclable. We are working towards transferring all our coffee packaging to compostable materials.

Zero waste:

If you live near our roastery in Catford you are more than welcome to come along and get your coffee packaging free. Bring along a container in which you’d like to store your beans, we’ll fill it up, ground it if needed and you simply pay by the gram. Each time you fill up you’ll get a free cup of coffee for your efforts.

Our coffees are also stocked in a few Zero waste shops. Check them out here.

All our local orders are delivered by Bicycle. For orders further afield with use courier companies and send the coffee in our recyclable, sustainable packaging.

Coffee cups:

Drink your coffee on the go and help reducing waste! We are proud to be selling rCups reusable cups on our website. rCUP doesn’t leak, ever. It keeps your drink hot or cold and you can pick it up without scalding your hand. You can easily open it with one hand and take a sip while you’re on the move. And best of all, the drinking experience is great – you never have to drink your coffee through a tiny hole ever again.

Every purchase of an rCUP is funding a sustainable solution to global waste. The outer thermal insulation layer of rCUP is made from used paper coffee cups. Every one of us throws away 350 paper coffee cups each year on average. By switching to rCUP you save these from landfill and contribute directly to the recycling of the used coffee cups that slip through the net. Plus it’s been designed for least 10 years use and is 100% recyclable in the UK’s curbside recycling system.
