OUR COFFEE BAGS

We have recently updated all of our coffee delivery packaging.

As part of our continuous sustainability journey, we have spent a long time reviewing all the possible options. While we are excited about the progress we are making, we understand that this is an ongoing process. As the packaging landscape evolves we will continually review the best options for us, and for you.

WHAT HAS CHANGED?

We have moved to fully recyclable packaging for our coffee delivery range.

The bags are made of LPDE 4 plastic. A material that is fully recyclable.

We know that opting for plastic might seem counterintuitive but we believe that currently, this packaging has a better chance of being sustainably disposed of. We know that plastics are not a perfect solution, but by making this change, we are ensuring that we are not using any “to landfill” products in our packaging, and that all elements can be recycled and live on after their coffee journey to you. Something that is very important to us.

WHERE CAN YOU RECYCLE YOUR BAGS?

Our new bags can be taken to recycling points. This includes all major supermarket chains, who will accept and properly recycle the materials.

In South-East London, where we deliver coffee by bicycle, we offer a collection service of the bags. Our riders will collect any bags left outside and bring them back to the roastery, where we will properly recycle them.

You return your bags to our roasteries in Catford and Ashford.

While some local councils do accept LPDE 4 in kerbside recycling, this is limited throughout the UK and changes between areas. Please check with your local authority.
